Cliff was out of the office this week in Africa delivering and setting up eGranarys. This week I researched portals and portal design. I read portions of the book Proven Portals: Best Practices for Planning, Designing and Developing Portals by Dan Sullivan. This book was mostly about the development of portals withing business organizations but did contain good information about content and navigation within the portal.
After researching portals I began mapping out how I wanted the portal to look and how I would classify the materials I collect. I started to build a prototype portal with the material that was used for the 2007 International Clubfoot Symposium.
Next week I plan to meet with Cliff about what I have been working on while he was out of the country and continue to work on the prototype portal.
